Serving children, families, and adults in need is the mission of Catholic Charities. Last month, eight members of the Prior Lake Junior Optimist Club volunteered to serve meals at a St. Paul location. The project was led by Maren Butttener and Ryan Tian. Maren commented, "I would say the event was very impactful and touching. First, we prepared the food to be served (things like sandwiches, pizza, and salad), then later we served the food. Serving the food was a great experience as we got to see people's lives being changed by our actions." Their website states, "Together, we can create a community and a world that honors the dignity and respects the life of every human being. We have a hard road in front of us, but it is the only road worth taking. We invite you to join us," said Micheal Goar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charites.
